The Alzheimer’s Association is using VolunteerHub to recruit volunteers to support its mission of eliminating Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research.
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive and devastating brain disorder that affects millions of people each year. Currently, 5.8 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and the number is expected to rise to 14 million by 2050. The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, is using VolunteerHub to engage, recruit, and manage volunteers throughout their community. Each year, the organization, located in Columbus, OH, relies on the help of around 400 volunteers for advocacy, outreach, education, marketing, and event management, which includes their signature event, The Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year alone, the Central-Ohio Walk to End Alzheimer’s hosted more than 4500 people and raised close to a million dollars for research, education, and advocacy.

“Volunteers help us make The Walk to End Alzheimer’s a special event for families and the community. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to raise as much money for Alzheimer’s and Dementia research,” said Jason
Need for Volunteer Management
