November 28th marked the 5th annual #GivingTuesday. Nonprofits from around the world promoted this special day of giving. Blackbaud created a special campaign that was broadcast in Times Square on the Nasdaq tower. Blackbaud promoted organizations and individuals sharing their passions during this day of giving.
As Blackbaud’s 2016 Technology Partner of the Year, VolunteerHub was honored to be a part of this day of celebration. During #bbcon 2016 VolunteerHub gave all employees an extra day of paid time off to turn their passion into action. This would give their employees the opportunity to give back at their convenience.
In the past 5 years, #GivingTuesday has experienced a 317% increase in online donations since inception. Blackbaud’s campaign was a platform for organizations to raise more awareness for their causes. VolunteerHub greatly appreciated the opportunity to join the movement.
